Staff Spotlight: Celebrating Mr. Mike Strauch’s Retirement
Dean of Students | 11 Years of Dedication
It’s the end of an era at Woodsville High School as we honor the retirement of Mr. Mike Strauch, who has served as our Dean of Students for the past 11 years.
Mr. Strauch has been more than an administrator—he’s been a guiding force, a calm voice, and a steady presence for students and staff alike. Known for his patience, kindness, and deep commitment to the WHS community, he has helped countless students navigate both challenges and successes with compassion and care.
His partnership with Principal Hayden Coon has become the stuff of WHS legend. As Mr. Coon put it, “Mike has been my right hand, my steady presence, and my trusted friend. His dedication to our students and his loyalty to this school are unmatched. I simply could not have asked for a better partner in this work.”
In true WHS spirit, Mr. Strauch has been described as “the jelly to Mr. Coon’s peanut butter, the Luigi to his Mario, the Robin to his Batman, and maybe even the Elf to his Buddy—depending on the day.”
Beyond his leadership, Mike brought humor, humility, and heart to everything he did—from solving problems in the halls to sharing mountain biking stories that kept us smiling. His legacy is one of teamwork, empathy, and unwavering support—what we proudly call Engineer Energy.
We wish Mr. Strauch a joyful and well-deserved retirement. His impact on our school is lasting, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Thank you, Mr. Strauch. You’ve truly left your mark. 💚🚂
