SAT Word of the Week – 2025 Final Edition!

Word: transcend (verb)
Definition: To rise above or go beyond the limits of something

As we close out the school year at Woodsville High, we bring you one final SAT Word of the Week — and it couldn’t be more fitting: transcend.

To transcend means more than just to succeed — it means to rise above. It’s about going beyond what’s expected, what’s easy, and sometimes even what you once thought was possible.

Graduating from high school is a huge achievement, but it’s also a launching point. Whether you’re a recent graduate stepping into college, the workforce, or the unknown, or an underclassman getting ready for what’s next — now is your time to transcend expectations.

This word challenges all of us to grow, dream bigger, and stretch ourselves beyond the ordinary. It reminds us that the story doesn’t end here — it evolves.

Use it in a sentence:
“After years of hard work and perseverance, the WHS Class of 2025 is ready to transcend every limit placed before them.”

Thank you for following along each week with our SAT Word series. Keep expanding your vocabulary, stay curious, and never stop pushing your limits.

💚
