Woodsville High School is excited to host New Hampshire’s College Application Day (APPLYNH) on October 30th, 2024! This event is a fantastic opportunity for our seniors to take the next step toward their future. It’s a statewide initiative designed to help students navigate the often-challenging college application process, with a focus on increasing college access and supporting students in pursuing their higher education goals.
What is College Application Day?
College Application Day, known as APPLYNH, is part of a national effort to provide support to high school seniors as they apply to colleges. Here at Woodsville High School, we’ll have resources available to help students complete their applications, answer questions, and give them the tools they need to succeed.
Our goal is to ensure that every senior has the chance to submit at least one college application during the event. Whether you’re aiming for a four-year university, community college, or a technical school, we are here to guide you through the process and celebrate your achievements!
What to Expect on October 30th
Here’s what students and families can expect during College Application Day at Woodsville High School:
1. Application Support Sessions:
Throughout the day, students will have access to application workshops with school counselors, teachers, and volunteers who will be available to provide one-on-one assistance. Whether you need help filling out forms, writing personal statements, or submitting your application online, we’ve got you covered.
2. Fee Waivers:
Many participating colleges and universities will waive their application fees for students who apply during the event. This can make a big difference for families looking to apply to multiple schools.
3. Advice from College Representatives:
We’ve invited representatives from local colleges and universities to join us, offering insight into their admissions processes and answering questions about their schools. This is a great opportunity to get first-hand information and make a lasting impression.
