A Reminder for Students

Don’t forget to register for the March SAT® by February 8. The SAT measures what you’re already learning in class, and is accepted at all colleges and universities in the U.S.

Taking the SAT is a key step on your road to college and career—and now, there’s a chance for you to be rewarded for your efforts. Earlier this year, we launched the College Board Opportunity Scholarships, a new program that guides students through the college planning process and offers them a chance to earn money for college while completing important steps along the way. Class of 2020 students in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories preparing for the SAT can earn scholarship opportunities when they complete these steps:

Practice for the SAT: $1,000
Practice for six hours or more on Official SAT Practice. A total of 150 Practice Scholarships will be awarded monthly from January to October.

Improve Your Score: $2,000
Practice 12 hours or more using Official SAT Practice and improve your score by 100+ points from the PSAT/NMSQT® to the SAT, or SAT to SAT. A total of 25 Improve Scholarships will be awarded after every SAT, starting in April 2019.
