Welcome Back, Engineers! Woodsville High School – First Day of School 2025–2026
The wait is over — we’re excited to welcome students back to Woodsville High School for the 2025–2026 school year! Classes begin on Monday, August 25, 2025, and we are ready to kick things off with a strong start.
Below is the First Day of School schedule to help students and families know what to expect.
🗓 Monday, August 25, 2025 – First Day Schedule
8:10 – First Bell
8:15 – 8:25 | Block 1 (Attendance/ Announcements )
Students will begin the day by reporting to Block 1 for attendance.
8:30 – 9:30 | School Assembly
We’ll gather for an all-school assembly featuring important back-to-school information, introductions to staff, and a warm WHS welcome for the new year.
9:30 – 10:00 | Roundhouse
Roundhouse will include Engineer Time sign-ups, locker distribution, goal setting, and circle time to reconnect.
10:00 – 10:30 | Class Meetings
Each grade level will meet with staff in assigned locations:

Seniors: Mr. Scianna – Room 2

Juniors: Ms. Heath – Room 14

Sophomores: Library

Ninth Grade: Mr. Emmerton – Room 25
10:30 | Evacuation Drill
We’ll practice our safety drill to ensure everyone is prepared for the year ahead.
11:00 – 12:13 | Engineer Time
Students should sign up for their Engineer Time sessions during Roundhouse and then participate in this period.
12:15 – 12:45 | Block 1
12:50 – 1:30 | Block 2
1:35 – 2:15 | Block 3
2:20 – 3:00 | Block 4
The day will finish with a shortened rotation of all four blocks so students can get comfortable with their schedules.
Looking Ahead
The first day is designed to build community, set goals, and ensure students are ready to succeed this school year. We’re thrilled to see our WHS halls filled again with energy, laughter, and learning.
